Profile. The Unhealthy Eating Museum is a hard hitting museum dedicated to the horrors of post 1940s eating. Aiming to educate through hard fact, humour and nostalgic self deprecation this museum takes a strong healthy eating slant without once touching on fruit or vegetables.
With a sardonic tone of voice the museum will focus on all aspects of unhealthy modern eating; ranging through deceptive branding and packaging to the horrors that lay within certain meals. The ultimate aim is to inform people about the deceptive tactics of food companies and the dangers of certain foods, without preaching.
Where? The museum will be situated road side in ex service station/fast food outlet locations eg Little Chef. As the museums will be small they will hold one exhibition every couple of months. Where better to host a health concious museum than an ex Little Chef?
Fast museum for fast food culture. With small exhibitions, the idea is people can stop whilst journeying and quickly absorb the information the current exhibition is showing. The idea being the sort of people that need to be told this information are generally the sort of people who have short attention spans and little time for great quantities of information.
